Sometimes, not often, but sometimes, Gus is sweet and adorable.

Another Appointment Day

Yesterday was another appointment day. Attempt #2 to see what they like to see. I believe we can now officially say, this baby is extremely stubborn! The tech got all of the shots we needed but it took a great deal of prodding and wiggling to get to that point. We could not get a 4D picture this time at all because the baby was snuggled into the placenta this time. Must need a soft pillow! 

We found out the kicking feeling I was experiencing most of the day was just that, kicking. The baby's feet were at my belly button just kicking away:) Here is a picture of that foot doing the kicking.

The heartbeat was 163 this time, yes I was extremely nervous and anxious and need to just relax because baby is doing great!

Pumpkin Carving

After a fabulous 5th Grade Special Day, that included pumpkin carving, I thought I would carve our pumpkins at home.

One of my team teachers had the idea of using cookie cutters, so I gave it a try. It was a little tricky because my cookie cutters were not big enough. I had to pound them in and pull them out with a plyers. Still fun though!

20 Weeks

Baby Stansbery was not cooperative today at our appointment. He/She was sitting on my back curled up and not impressed with the ultrasound.  We will go back in a couple of weeks to recheck and take a look at the heart and a few other areas that we could not see. All of the tests were measuring a few weeks behind, except for one, the weight! We were a bit above average on the weight. Evidently we have a short fat baby right now;)

Oh and NO, we are still not finding out the sex of the baby!

No fabulous pictures today but I thought I would post a few anyway. The first one is a profile and the second one is the spine. Those were about the only two that worked! Hopefully baby will move off of my spine so we can see how he/she is doing next time.

The heartbeat was strong again today. I think it might have been a bit faster because I was so nervous!

As soon as the radiologist tried to do a 4D picture, the baby turned and tucked his/her head under so we could not get a total facial shot either! Goodness, is this baby going to be stubborn like his/her...ummmm father? Or what?

I knew that when I arrived home and found stuffing in his mouth, there could be a problem.

It took me a little time to find his mess...but I found it!

Family Fun Time

I had my birthday feast at Becky and Dale's with our family. The boys were an absolute hoot. Gus had so much fun playing with them. Even though Carter asked to ride him, lasoo him, lead him, and "train" him.

Gus had a very busy day and was out cold two minutes after walking in the door. Sandy was glad to see us back home as well:)

Little Yellowstone

Bill and I started out our fun weekend on Saturday, late morning, at one of our favorite places, Little Yellowstone. I grew up about five miles from Little Yellowstone so I spent a great deal of time on the pathways, playing in the creek, playing softball, swimming in the pool (not there anymore) and hanging out with friends. It is awesome to head down and spend time there with Bill, and of course, Gus.
The colors are kind of awesome down there as well!
