Jillian's First Visit to Lake Sallie

What a busy weekend we had! We headed to Lake Sallie for the weekend. We also headed to Fergus Falls for our friend, Drew's first birthday party. Jillian wore a party dress for the occasion.

Jillian was pretty excited about her outfit!

She felt much better in her comfy PJ's and her dress on her head.
Then Grandma Becky snuggled her in and she was perfectly content.
Here is Jillian in her first night at Lake Sallie. She did great sleeping in her pack n' play next to our bed.

While we were cleaning and putting up pictures, Jillian hung out in her comfy spot.

She even managed to squeeze in some snuggle time with Grandpa Dale.

Although we had lots of fun with family and friends, these two were tired out and needed a nap!

2 Months

We have a ton of fun when taking pictures with Jillian and her Giraffe.
Jililan is two months old today. She has had a very busy 2nd month of life! She has been to the cities, attended a college graduation, high school graduations, watched her cousin play baseball, watched her uncle coach win a region championship, made her first trip to the lake, attended her buddy Drew's first birthday and many visits with new friends.
Jillian is weighing in at 7 pounds 4 ounces and finally smiled at us for the first time on Saturday morning.
Her favorite past time is definitely EATING!!!!

Check Up-2 Months

We had our 2 month check.

OK, I know every mom/dad has made it through the whole taking their child to the doctor for shots.  I understand the amazing wonders of health benefits and the fact that my sweet Jillian now has these awesome immunities. However, with the advancements in medicine, can't they make it so it isn't so awful?!?!?!
There was hesitation, questioning, sad faces, and the tears...Jillian was fine but I barely survived! Jillian took them like a champ. She wiggled and made a face after the first two and let out some squawks after the last one. By the way, the last one bleed a whole bunch. Well, there was blood anyway.
We go back in a month for another check to see how the little miss is growing. She is growing :) She is up to 7 pounds 4 ounces, remember when she left the hospital she was 4 pounds 11 ounces, so this is progress. We are hoping she has a period of "catch up growth" soon. Jillian still isn't on the charts but hopefully in a month she gets there. We are going to really focus on good/frequent feedings.
Here se us after those awful shots...can't you tell she is very upset ;)

Mobile

We finally got Jillian's mobile up in her crib and she likes it!
There is a funny story behind the mobile. Bill and I had registered for a mobile at Target and thought we made a good choice. However, Grandma Mac, did not really care for the one we picked so she found a "better" one (AKA...one she liked). When she purchased it, we did not know if we were having a boy or a girl but she picked one for a girl. We have to giggle about this because, yet again, Grandma Mac knew best, or better than we did ;)

Weekend

Jillian, Bill and I had a fantastic weekend! We started out our adventure on Friday with what ended up being a 5 1/2 hour drive to our hotel in the cities. It is amazing how much longer things take now that we are in Jillian's World!
Jillian had some tummy issues so we ended up staying up until 3:30 but did get a couple hours of sleep, managed to shower, eat breakfast and meet Anna, Bill's sister, in the lobby and off we went to the U of M for Anna's graduation!
Anna is no longer just Anna, she is now Doctor Anna Stansbery! We are so proud of her and all of her hard work. She is going to be living and working in Carlylse, Saskatchewan as a Veterinarian.
Graduation was a bit long so we had to go out into the hall for a snack but we were able to watch Anna walk across the stage. After graduation we all went out to eat and had a nice time celebrating with the entire Stansbery Family.
Then the venture home began! We had a few places to stop along the way and Jillian needed to eat three times so it took quite awhile. We eventually made it home around 11 pm, made some egg bake and went to bed.
Jillian then gave me an awesome Mother's Day gift, she left for FIVE hours in a row! We were so rested on Sunday! We then stopped off at Dustin and Lissa's had brunch and then headed to Fargo for Jillian's first baseball game. She cheered on her oldest cousin, Brendan. Finally we went home had a nice steak and asparagus dinner and rested after our busy weekend!
