Gus throwing a fit

Gus loves to organize, show off, and play with his toys. Sometimes he stacks them, sometimes he piles them, sometimes he throws them at us. Tonight, one of his favorite toys went missing. We have no clue where he hid his chicken leg and neither does he. He threw a 15 minute fit which ended in him throwing himself on the floor and making a poofing noise. It was absolutely hilarious!

1st Day of School

What a great way to kick off the 2011-2012 school year! 

Garden Flop

This was the first year, in my entire life, that my garden flopped. I know what happened but I really thought things would perk back up.
What was the culprit you ask?

WATER

The garden has been flooded just like the many crops in the area.

I was able to harvest some of my tomatoes in June. With the icky weather in March and April, I decided to plant a few tomato plants from seed and they worked. It was really nice not having to purchase tomatoes this summer.

But alas, I am extremely low on my tomato count now and not sure what I am going to do for canning and salsa.

Here was the crop harvested this past week. Usually I have 10 times this amount.

Morgan June

Morgan June Maasjo was born at 4:28 am on July 28, 2011. She weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces and was 19 inches long. Her big brothers are very proud and excited to have her home today. Brendan, Carter and I  had quite the adventure the day she was born and this lady is still recouping from the adventure. The 2.5 hour nap I just had has given me the energy to blog;) Those boys are very busy people!

Lyndsey and Matthew

We are so proud of Lyndsey and Matthew Swanson's performances last evening at the Variety Show. We are also extremely excited to cheer  them on when they head to Denver to try out for American Idol. We know how talented they are and can not wait for America to find out how amazing they are!
